2012 South Carolina Primary
2 Debates have been done just prior to the Saturday January 21, 2012 South Carolina primary. Gingrich has definitely taken over on both debates. He is the only Candidate ever to receive Standing Ovations in a Presidential Debate. Thursday Jan 19, 2012 Debate Newt drew 2 Standing Ovations immediately as when it started, John King of CNN hit hard with the question that I believe was totally uncalled for, about the 2nd Wife interview which is a year old. Newt nailed it and him. Newt drew 2 separate Standing Ovations during this questioning.
The rest of the 2 hrs was definitely Newt. He hit hard, he stood strong, stood his ground, did not falter, answered and responded directly to any and all questions asked by John King and the other Candidates. Even majority of news media people gave the debate to Gingrich.
Santorum came across like a very angry little 2 yr old. He was vicious in his attacks vs sticking with the issues. He seemed to be coming off a high since he learned he actually won the Iowa Caucus vs Romney. Romney on the other hand, seemed to be on a downer on that same piece of information. He fumbled and stumbled especially when asked about his tax returns.
Ron Paul just stood his ground giving comedic relief which was needed as this Debate was very heated.
Gingrich has taken the lead in South Carolina and tomorrow, Saturday, January 21, 2012 will be the tell tale answer. Apparently anyone who has taken South Carolina has gone on to win the nomination
Right now, Santorum -1 primary, Romney – 1 primary (although questionable as well since it is know there was voter fraud in New Hampshire.
Tomorrow will be very interesting. Then it’s on to florida from there.
My bet is on Newt Gingrich.
